I know what you’re thinking. Aren’t I already connected to myself? I mean after all I AM myself so shouldn’t I be connected? Maybe you are. Then again, maybe you could be a little more connected. I think we all could be. Yes, me too. Probably more than most. I will definitely share what I have learned so far and in a lot more detail. But that will be for future blogs. For today, as this is the first Re-Generation blog under the sub-section “Connecting with the Self”, we will just cover and introduction and that means a brief summary.

Connecting with the self can mean a lot of things. Mental, physical and of course spiritual connections all come to mind. With our hectic lifestyles it is difficult for many of us to find a window for any “down time” or an opportunity to reflect, to heal and to grow, but doing so is important now more than ever. There will be overlaps between the “Connecting with The Self” blog and the other 2 blogs of The Re-Generation—“Connecting with Nature” and “Connecting with Each Other” since, in many cases nature is an excellent tool for connecting with oneself and whatever we do in the realm of the self affects how we interact with others.

Some of the topics of interest you can expect in the Connecting with The Self Blog include different takes on meditation, yoga, mindfulness, wilderness therapy and ecopsychology as well as natural and holistic health and fitness issues. I also expect to have some guest bloggers in future articles as we get things rolling. As well, your input and comments are always welcome. Please enjoy and namaste!
