The RE-Generation is Re-Brnding! Stay Tuned
Welcome to The RE-Generation
The RE-Generation is an online journal covering topics around re-establishing meaningful human connections. The journal will cover three different areas of human re-connection: These vital connections are those we share with Nature, Each Other, and with Ourselves.
What's in a Name?
The term "RE-Generation" was conceived as a fitting name for two reasons:
First, the word infers a sense of healing. When a person receives a wound on the skin, for example, the tissue heals by regenerating itself with new skin cells. Multiple microscopic connections are woven over the wound in order to heal the open sore. In the same way, the more meaningful connections we create between ourselves, nature, and each other, the stronger and more resilient our own living systems can be.
The second reason for the name is to focus on the "generational" context. More and more people are becoming aware of the apparent loss of connection many of us are experiencing in modern life. Most would agree that our connection with nature has been fading for quite some time. Additionally, in the midst of our busy lives, our connections with each other seem to be less frequent and meaningful. Finally, we often allow ourselves very little time to connect with our own thoughts and inner selves. The better news is that people from all walks of life are becoming mindful of this fact and are tapping into ways of reestablishing those connections--this is the RE-Generation.
