Principle # 12: Creatively Use and Respond to Change

We can have a positive impact on inevitable change by carefully observing, and then intervening at the right time.

There are eventually going to be some changes beyond our control. One year you might have a sunny backyard, when a neighbor decides to plant a spruce, shading out much of your property. It is important to find the positive side of these events and use them to our best advantage. There are many fruit-bearing species which grow well beneath conifers for example.
