Dirt Boys Urban Farming
My name is Dennis Scanland and I run an urban farming company called Dirt Boys. I am entering my fifth growing season and working on getting my current land base even more productive. I have been growing in Bridgeland at this site since my first year. This is a great site but could easily use some more permaculture principles. I’ve got three apple trees and one crab tree on site. The site is surrounded by chokecherries. Each year I try and cultivate a little more space even by a few square feet. Almost all produce that Dirt Boys grows is bound for YYC Growers harvest boxes. I also supply some regular items to Midtown Kitchen in Kensington. |
