Early Fortune Cucumber
If you are here, chances are you have purchased a Cucumber plant from us. So here is the information you will need to make the most of this delicious vegatable (technically a fruit)!
This year we are selling the Early Fortune Variety of Cucumber:
Plants can be either trellised (to save space) or planted in hills. The trellis method will save a lot of space as you can plant as close as 6-8 inches apart. In the initial stages after planting, you may have to guide the plant up the trellis or tie loosely to keep it off the ground. If using the hill planting method, you can plant up to 3 plants per hill so that they spread in all directions outward. Hills should be about 6 feet apart, so make sure you have plenty of growing area!
Description: Heirloom with a subtly sweet taste usually 6-8 inches long and about 2 inches thick, dark-green skin. Usually about 50-60 days to maturity.
